Job description:

Bring your policy analysis and systems thinking skills to IPART’s Energy Security Safeguard team and help deliver better energy outcomes for the people of NSW. As a Policy Officer, you will play a key role in implementing the Energy Security Safeguard schemes, contributing to work that supports genuine energy savings and peak demand reduction.

The Safeguard team is responsible for delivering key regulatory functions for the Energy Savings Scheme and the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme, ensuring these schemes operate sustainably, with integrity, and provide effective incentives. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful, forward‑looking regulatory initiatives that support a secure and efficient energy system.

Job description:

The Senior Manager – Environmental Noise provides strategic leadership for the Environmental Noise Branch, overseeing the delivery of high-level technical expertise and best practice regulatory guidance. As the department’s head of discipline, the role brings extensive subject matter expertise and strong leadership capability, directing contemporary, evidence based environmental acoustic science and ensuring integration with broader statutory processes.

As a recognised technical expert, you will represent the Branch across government and external forums, build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and prepare high level reports, briefings and publications for ministerial, corporate and academic purposes. You will ensure effective systems, processes and quality assurance mechanisms are in place to support efficient program delivery and contemporary regulatory practice.

A key responsibility includes leading workforce capability development, coaching and mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and technical excellence. Additional duties may be assigned in line with departmental requirements and the scope of the position.

The position is based in Perth; however, suitably qualified applicants from regional Western Australia, interstate and New Zealand are encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate.

Principal Solicitor

Job description:

Our Opportunity
Fixed Term up to 28 May 2027 (Parental Leave)

The Principal Solicitor will provide strategic legal advice and written briefings to the Commission, Directors and staff on gambling matters relating to investigations, disciplinary and litigation matters under the legislative, regulatory and policy framework for gambling regulation in Victoria. This position will lead the conduct of prosecutions undertaken by the Commission including contested litigation and will appear on behalf of the Commission at VCAT, The Magistrates Court and other jurisdictions as required.

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and admission or eligibility for admission to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the right to hold a Victorian legal practising certificate.

  • Significant experience in the conduct and or management of multiple contested litigation in a complex environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience managing the exercise of delegated decision-making powers in an administrative decision-making context and in criminal court proceedings.

  • Experience advising on litigation and prosecution.

  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment, with strong adaptability to shifting priorities and the ability to remain agile under changing circumstances.

  • Ability to handle a large workload involving complex legal matters within limited timeframes
